From FDA-grade hand sanitizer to N-95 masks, hospitals around the US were struggling to provide doctors and nurses with the necessary materials to treat the increasing influx of patients in a safe way.
In response to the COVID-19 virus, the FDA has allowed for the temporary compounding of alcohol-based hand sanitizer products by pharmacists in state-licensed pharmacies or federal facilities and registered outsourcing facilities. Now that pharmacies can become compounders, there is an opportunity to streamline the process by supply matching hospitals with these local pharmacies.
FightCOVID.us matches hospitals in need of PPE supplies with the local pharmacies that can manufacture and provide them.
