The Techstars Barclays Accelerator is an intensive program that supports early-stage fintech startups by providing mentorship, resources, and access to a robust network. The program focuses on helping startups innovate in areas such as enterprise automation and AI/machine learning, aiming to drive scalable and market-ready solutions in the financial technology sector.
Fintech startups often struggle with integrating design into their core business strategies—specifically in customer acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization. Many founders, particularly at the pre-seed stage, face challenges in creating products that fit the market and in building scalable, iterative solutions that attract investors.

Design expands beyond the visual
Design is more than just a skill—it's a mindset. I am extremely passionate about empowering founders to see design as a way to solve problems and unlock value, especially in finance where outdated, clunky UX holds back innovation.
I helped teams move past just visuals by teaching them how to use design for discovery: running customer sessions, mapping out journeys & HXC personas, and turning complex data into clear, actionable product features.
Through high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and even live MVPs, I work with founders to speed up product-market fit and communicate real value to investors and customers
Scalable design system across 7+ personas and ended up being scaled and leveraged for other parts of the Pepsico business.
A brand is a promise of an experience. Without a brand - it’s just a thing you have to do. It doesn’t have a soul - so we gave the mission a name: Savvy and a face (logo)
Change made easy, fun, and not something to be feared.
And as part of the theme of making the change something that people wanted versus something that people were forced to adopt - we took the design system out of digital and created an ecosystem of products that worked together to celebrate the launch of Savvy.

I developed distinctive visual identities and cohesive brand systems for the startups, creating logos, color palettes, and comprehensive guidelines that clearly communicated their unique value propositions to investors and customers. I wanted to create a scalable system that ensured a consistent, professional presence across all channels, and enhanced their market appeal and credibility.

Founders often focus on technical details, which can obscure the value proposition when presenting to investors or non-technical stakeholders. I collaborated with them to craft tailored narratives—through one-pagers, visuals, and presentations—that clearly highlighted the business and customer benefits of their solutions.

Design or creative is often thought of as making slide decks "pretty" or focusing solely on visual identity. Many of these founders were focused on jumping immediately into sales and development, so I ran workshops and created guides to help them incorporate product and UX into lean startup methodologies as a way to not only iterate faster but do it at a lower cost.
I partnered with designers and strategists from Frog to conduct hands-on workshops. These sessions empowered founders with practical tools and methodologies to ideate, iterate, and validate product ideas, ensuring a strong product-market fit.
